All my life, I’ve been a pretty mediocre person. I did good in highschool, and I was doing ok in college. But while I was finishing my biology degree in college, I was realizing that I couldn’t become a doctor. I hated studying. I hate memorizing things. The thought of going through so much more school agonized me to no end.
Looking for a hobby, I started taking pictures while I roomed with a few friends: Mishi, Thearie and Annaliza. It was around this time that I bought a film camera and took pictures of what happened outside my window….

One of the first pictures that I ever took with my Nikon n75 film camera. With some practice I got better. I bought a tripod and I took a still shot of the Chicago skyline…
If I remember right, this was f11, or 16, or 22 and the shot was for 10-15 seconds. I can’t remember for the life of me what film I used, but it was prolly the common stock Kodak color film you can get at Walgreens or Dominick’s.
I also bought a Canon SD300. I remember walking through a patch of trees heading back to the place I was staying at back in college. I looked up, saw the sunlight…and I saw this…

It remains to this day one of my favorite pictures of all time.
