Chicago Engagement Photography: JoAnn & Danny
JoAnn found me when I photographed her cousin’s wedding two years ago. It’s her turn to get married this year and based on how fun it was to try and get her to smile (she’s scared of pictures), the wedding is going to be just as fun and awesome =)
I finally got her to smile!!!
Thank you JoAnn and Danny for giving me the opportunity to photograph you guys! I look forward to the wedding this October!!!!

The Best From 2009
It took me a little while, but I managed to put together a “Best Of” Archive from my 2009 weddings. Hope you enjoy and Happy Friday!!!
Engagement: Tiffany & Sebastian
Tiffany and Sebastian met through co-workers and friends, hanging out at bars and drinking.
What made this different though is that while everyone would be happy just chatting away with casual smalltalk and conversation, Tiffany & Sebastian would have serious conversations in the corner of the bar. Nothing was off topic. From Politics to Religion, the conversations they would have were not the usual barfare
Things blossomed on their own from there =).
It was incredible working with Tiffany and Sebastian. They were so incredibly patient while I ran around and worked like a fool to set up my shots =) Thank you guys so much!

We went first to the Harold Washington Library’s Winter Garden:
While shooting, Tiffany randomly found a Post-It note with the words “Smile: =)” on them.
We put it to good use:
Since we were at a library after all, we decided to make use of the books also =D:
Along with that we did some fun things with the rest of the library:
Finishing up with the Library, we then went to the Chicago Cultural Center:
And finally to the shoreline in Chicago that could show a skyline at night =)

A Graffiti Mecca, The 5 Points in Manhattan, New York showcases some of the finest graffiti work in the world.
The was no other way to describe how much works of art are on display for anyone and everyone to see here.
No single image of a single piece of art on display here could completely show how incredible and amazing The Five Points are to behold in person.
As much as I tried, I couldn’t find a single image that I felt would be satisfying enough for me to display the staggering amount of work on display to any and all.
So I decided to pull out a tripod to capture an image of all the artwork =D

From the same shoot as “Nothing Else Matters.” and “The Proposal”. This couple was so much fun to work with and willing to deal with my experimenting =P This shot was a simple 180 degrees behind the camera front of the bean where the “Proposal” was shot.

Using software that stitched images together, this is actually about 5 shots placed together from a tripod.

Taken with a Nikon D200 and a 18-70mm lens, I was looking to photograph the Chicago skyline and possibly use this image as a wallpaper. I was counting down the moment and had set up the image and composition.
As I was pressing down on the shutter however, I saw a blur fly over me just as the mirror lifted up and blocked my view.
It was at that moment a feeling of giddyness came to me as I realized the implications of what just happened.
I hoped and hoped and hoped and hoped that the bird was captured in the right spot and right time as I pressed the button and this showed up in the lcd. =D
