Frequently Asked Questions

This section will answer the questions that I get the most:

What is your style of photography?

A blend of fine art, photojournalism, and experimentation, my style of photography caters to the needs of my clients. Some people prefer a “fly on the wall” approach, while others have a preference towards more interaction and encouragement/direction with their photography. My photography is such that what you need can be matched with my style. If you like having fun and want the events and memories of your most important day captured for you to look back on fondly, I might be able to help.

Do you shoot traditional portraits?

Our studio is completely capable and equipped to help you capture some traditional images of the day. There is still a necessity to capture a record of who was there for historical purposes and to make your parents and grandparents happy. To make the process more efficient, I prefer to work from lists of “Essential Shots” that you create, listing relatives and friends that I may not be able to recognize easily. It is also essential for you to designate a relative or friend that can identify and help with getting the people into the shots.

What Kind of Equipment Do You Use?

I use a variety of Canon & Nikon equipment and make full use of it depending on the situation at hand. I make sure all of my gear is professional grade and that it is never outdated. Once in a while you can also find a Contax 645 or a Nikon F6 included in my lineup, as I like shooting film when I can.

Do we get copies of the images?

Yes. All packages come with a DVD copy of unedited images. Along with that all packages come with an online proof gallery where you can purchase edited/retouched images for you and your family/friends.

Do you shoot weddings outside of Chicago?

Yes! I love destination weddings have have traveled to places such as Mexico and The Dominican Republic to photograph.

Do you have experience with other Cultures?

Yes!  I have photographed various ceremonies from other cultures ranging from Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean to Filipino and Indian, and am always willing to learn about others!
